Meridian 2000 Sdn Bhd is a specialist geotechnical instrumentation system integrator and provides consultancy services to clients in slope monitoring systems. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry the team from Meridian 2000 is currently working on providing wireless sensor technology and cost effective real time remote condition monitoring solutions to clients and operators to make data informed predictions, enable efficiency and prevent disasters.

The team at Meridian 2000  is headed by its director and geotechnical specialist, Dr Abdul Aziz K M Hanifah with a career span of nearly 30 years in geotechnical engineering  has worked with many types of instruments including resistance and vibrating wire strain gauges for bored piles, hydraulic and pneumatic piezometers, fiber optic sensors, inclinometers for slope and embankment monitoring, triaxial geophones, remote data loggers and data acquisition systems.

During his long career with the Public Works Department of Malaysia he has held very senior positions in the organisation and was actively involved in major projects such as the Second Penang Bridge Project, the Rapid Transit System (RTS) and Underground Road Link (URL) projects between Malaysia and Singapore, Project Director for Site Investigation Information System and the development of a GIS based system of geotechnical ground information accessible on the PWD Malaysia intranet and many more projects related to  foundation, slope, road, bridge, and rail construction.
